Small sculpture in Double Bay, craft across the city and a coastal exhibition at Bondi: October offers several very different ways to spend a day with art.
Choose the kind of day you want
For a focused gallery visit, start with the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize. For hands-on making, explore the individual Sydney Craft Week program. For an outdoor outing, put Sculpture by the Sea in your diary from 16 October.
These are selected outings from the calendar, not a complete list of Sydney exhibitions. The festival dates below describe the overall run; individual galleries, workshops and venues have their own opening hours.

Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize 2026

Sydney Craft Week Festival 2026

Glebe Art Show 2026

An indoor exhibition at the Tramsheds, with a public run from 15–25 October. A useful choice when you want one venue to explore at your own pace.
Before you go: The public show starts on 15 October. The 14 October opening is for artists and their guests.
Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi

- Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk

Take the coastal walk as the setting for your art outing. This is the outdoor choice in the shortlist, with an exhibition stretching from Bondi to Tamarama.

Keep the travel simple
Pick one main event before adding another stop. The Bondi coastal walk, Double Bay gallery and Forest Lodge exhibition are separate destinations. Check the address, route and return journey rather than treating the list as a walking itinerary.
For the coastal exhibition, read the organiser’s access information and weather updates before leaving. For Sydney Craft Week, open the specific event page: a festival listing does not reserve a place in a workshop.

- Check whether a workshop or special session needs a separate booking.

Which outings have free entry?
Woollahra Gallery lists free admission and Sculpture by the Sea is free to the public. Sydney Craft Week includes both free and ticketed activities. Keep travel, refreshments and any purchases separate from the admission budget.
