NOVEMBER CITY GUIDE

Sydney art fairs & exhibitions: November 2026

Gallery-led art fairs, new graduate work and independent publishing: five ways to plan a November art outing, from Darlinghurst to Bondi and Eveleigh.

Where to start in November

Carriageworks hosts three quite different events this month. Affordable Art Fair runs 5–8 November and brings together galleries selling contemporary art. Finders Keepers follows on 13–15 November with independent design and makers. SOUTHEAST Aboriginal Arts Market is on 28–29 November. They share a venue, but have separate programmes, opening hours and entry arrangements.

For a quieter exhibition visit, the NAS Postgrad Show runs 6–15 November in Darlinghurst. For books, photography and small-run publishing, choose the Head On Photobook & Zine Market at Bondi Pavilion on Sunday 8 November. These are editorial selections from the calendar; inclusion does not imply that our featured artists are appearing.

Dates and opening hours to notice

Affordable Art Fair has First Look and opening-night sessions on Thursday 5 November; check the ticket for your chosen session. NAS opens to the public daily from 11am to 5pm during its exhibition run. Its 5 November opening night is separate from those daytime visits.

Finders Keepers runs Friday 4–9pm and Saturday–Sunday 10am–5pm, with a low-sensory hour on Sunday from 9am. SOUTHEAST runs Saturday 9am–5pm and Sunday 10am–2pm, so Sunday afternoon visitors should plan for the earlier finish.

Free visits and ticketed outings

NAS Postgrad Show, the Head On publishing market and SOUTHEAST have free visitor entry. Finders Keepers lists $7 daily entry plus a booking fee, with children under 13 free. Affordable Art Fair is ticketed; check its current options rather than assuming all sessions have the same admission price.

Admission does not include buying work, food or separately booked workshops. Ask the maker about editions, framing and delivery if a piece catches your eye.

Make one destination your starting point

Eveleigh, Darlinghurst and Bondi are separate outings. Pick your main event first, then check the return journey and the venue’s access information. Avoid treating this shortlist as a walking route.

The event pages below keep the organiser links beside the dates. Check those links again before leaving: public hours and tickets can change after a guide is published.
